Watching

Watching the world go by,

Waiting for the world to change,

We see so much pain.

Horrific abuse,

Things so wrong,

How do we let this go on?

But here’s city life,

With the sun in the sky,

And I know we can make things right,

All these beautiful people,

We’re going to be the change.

Happy Right Now?

Tell me are you happy right now,
Is this the life you dreamed,
Do I seem happy to you,
Is that the way it’s always been?
So I’m a positive light in the world,
Always looking up,
But you know there comes a point,
When even I have had enough.
I’ll smile ‘til I’m alone,
But where is my bright side,
Where has my light gone,
Why do I want to cry?
I’m stuck in this place,
And lost in my world,
Trying to find my way,
Get my feet back on the ground.
