If I said see you in an hour,
Would you call me crazy,
Or would you open the door,
With open arms and open heart,
Brush my tears away and kiss me,
Halt my sorrow, ease my mind,
Hold me close and whisper,
Sweet nothings to pass the night.
I would do everything in the first four lines. It seems that the poetry conventions you're consciously or subconsciously familiar with are intended for polite and physically affectionate people. Or perhaps you just desire polite and physically affectionate company.
I sure would hope you'd call me crazy if I said see you in an hour. That would be quite a feat, it'd take me almost that long getting to the airport! Considering the company desired from who this was about, polite and physically affectionate is very fitting.
