Where Next?

I don't know what we're doing,
Don't know what you see,
I've so many questions,
About you and me.
You think I'm pretty,
And you kissed me that night,
But now what happens,
Is everything alright?
Is there more to this,
Than drunken mistake,
I'm just here waiting,
For the next move you make.

Nothing Serious

There's that boy I know,
He appreciates me for me,
Nice arse a bonus.
I love talking to that boy,
He knows I'm a person,
Not just a pretty face.
We're young and have dreams,
There's no need to rush.
We're enjoying the company,
There's no judgement,
We can understand.
Living and laughing,
Nothing serious.

Crying

Tell me, when did crying,
Become something weak,
Something to fight against,
And hide behind doors.
Crying comes from passion,
Strong emotional depth,
It communicates the things,
Mere words cannot.
To cry is to feel,
And have strength to admit,
This is human,
And this is ok.

A Masking Tale

The time I spent staring into your deep pools of eyes,
Could be seen as a deep waste of life,
I was captured staring into your mind,
But what your eyes told were cheap rotten lies.
They spun a tale of beauty, nature and peace,
But that was nothing like what was underneath.
Beneath the sparkling blue was betraying black,
But I was caught in the pool with no turning back.
I fell and I floated and I trusted in you,
I was safe in your beauty,
Loving the time we shared,
All the while you masked just how little you cared.
Then your eyes were blank,
No longer safe swimming pools,
They were a harsh, dark sea,
With horror stories ready to drown me.
I fell and I struggled not believing the truth,
I made my own pools from the pain you drew.
I was on my own with no beauty to see,
A total wreck you left me.
Slowly the sun dried the damage you left,
Light returned to my life,
But what is lost shall not be forgotten,
I'll never forget how you treated me then.

Nice Girl

She looked like a nice girl,
He looked like a waste of space,
I could see she was unsure,
But she smiled anyway.
She was pretty,
And too good for him,
I think she knew,
But they left together still.
I wonder what they’re doing now,
After that awkward date,
She could do better,
But is she with him anyway?

I Want To Buy A Fast Car

I want to buy a fast car,
Just to drive it slow,
Enjoy hot sun,
But dream of snow,
Read by the fire,
Then dance in the rain,
Dare to love,
Not fearing pain.
I want to travel the world,
While missing home,
Spend time in peace,
But not feel alone,
Be myself,
And be a star,
Never give up,
On going far.

The World You See

Don't you know,
We live in different worlds.
We see different wrongs,
And have different rights.
There's always opinion,
But rarely alike.
You look one way,
I see another light.
You'll never see,
From my view.
These harsh truths,
Won't get to you.
How my insecurity,
Brought it to me,
That means something different,
In the world you see.

Happy Right Now?

Tell me are you happy right now,
Is this the life you dreamed,
Do I seem happy to you,
Is that the way it’s always been?
So I’m a positive light in the world,
Always looking up,
But you know there comes a point,
When even I have had enough.
I’ll smile ‘til I’m alone,
But where is my bright side,
Where has my light gone,
Why do I want to cry?
I’m stuck in this place,
And lost in my world,
Trying to find my way,
Get my feet back on the ground.

Blue Roses

Red rose is dead,
As you to me,
I'm still trapped,
But should be free.
There is no more,
But I can't let go,
Lost in a world,
But you don't know.
We had our time,
Some things you never knew,
I know you never will,
But blue roses make me think of you.

Mind Reader

I see you standing there,
Across the floor,
It looks an innocent scene,
But I can see more.
Your arm’s around your girl,
And boy she’s a catch,
But I know it’s not right,
That’s not a perfect match.
You see me,
Across the floor,
You’re with your girl,
But you want more.
Watching you,
I’m feeling like a mind reader,
‘Cause I know what you’re thinking,
You don’t really need her.
You’re playing twisted games,
No one else can see,
You’re with your girl,
But you wish your girl was me.
It’s your hopeless dream,
That we’ll be together,
You won’t listen,
When I say never.
Your poor girl,
She wouldn’t believe,
For a chance with me,
You’d definitely leave.
What you’re doing,
Is sick, twisted, wrong,
Your arm around your girl,
Your mind on me all along.

I Went To Bluff Hill

I went to Bluff Hill,
And watched a ship come in,
Thinking of days past,
And how things begin.
Time changes everything,
Nothing stays the same,
There will always come a time,
When only memories remain.

The sea breeze chilled me,
Sent a shiver down my spine,
But there’s still a certain warmth,
To that special place of mine.

Treasure the good,
And face the rough,
All experience holds worth,
Never think it’s enough.

I went to Bluff Hill,
And watched a ship go out,
Thinking of how things end,
And what life’s about.
Enjoy good while it lasts,
But don’t shy from something new,
Though some things hurt,
Pain becomes a memory too.

Not Sure

Not sure what to think,
Not sure how to feel,
Drifting through confusion,
Wondering what’s real.
Not sure what’s over,
Not sure what’s begun,
Existing isn’t living,
Unless you’re having fun.
Not sure what life is,
Not sure if yours is good,
Are you doing all the things,
That you really should?
Not sure where you’re going,
Not sure where you’ve been,
Have you found meaning,
In all the things you’ve seen?
Learn to feel life,
To the best in your way,
Be who you are,
Make the most of every day.

Poem about NYDS

Welcome to our world,
It’s a place from dreams,
You might not understand,
It’s more than what it seems.
We are as one in madness,
Hard to believe,
Individuals together,
We stand in unity.
Every day fulfilling,
Learning something new,
Sharing something wonderful,
In everything we do.
Love grows so fast,
We’ve all become friends,
But then we have to face it,
All good things must end.
