Mind Reader

I see you standing there,
Across the floor,
It looks an innocent scene,
But I can see more.
Your arm’s around your girl,
And boy she’s a catch,
But I know it’s not right,
That’s not a perfect match.
You see me,
Across the floor,
You’re with your girl,
But you want more.
Watching you,
I’m feeling like a mind reader,
‘Cause I know what you’re thinking,
You don’t really need her.
You’re playing twisted games,
No one else can see,
You’re with your girl,
But you wish your girl was me.
It’s your hopeless dream,
That we’ll be together,
You won’t listen,
When I say never.
Your poor girl,
She wouldn’t believe,
For a chance with me,
You’d definitely leave.
What you’re doing,
Is sick, twisted, wrong,
Your arm around your girl,
Your mind on me all along.

I Went To Bluff Hill

I went to Bluff Hill,
And watched a ship come in,
Thinking of days past,
And how things begin.
Time changes everything,
Nothing stays the same,
There will always come a time,
When only memories remain.

The sea breeze chilled me,
Sent a shiver down my spine,
But there’s still a certain warmth,
To that special place of mine.

Treasure the good,
And face the rough,
All experience holds worth,
Never think it’s enough.

I went to Bluff Hill,
And watched a ship go out,
Thinking of how things end,
And what life’s about.
Enjoy good while it lasts,
But don’t shy from something new,
Though some things hurt,
Pain becomes a memory too.
